This particular print shows a design for a city garden with the  focal point of
a waterfall.



Fine, virtually unmarked condition, centrefold as issued.

Accompanying the print are associated botanical notes in French.



Measuring approx. approx 13"x 10"( 330mm x  260mm)   overall.

Jean Jules Linden (1817-1898) was an influential horticulturist and publisher, especially in the realm of orchids.  Born in Luxembourg he published one of the finest botanical periodicals of the latter half of the 19th Century, L’Illustration Horticole

It became a collaborative effort of many great horticulturists and field botanists of the day.  Jean Linden in his own right was a renowned orchid grower and collector.  Each edition featured chromolithographs of botanical prints with associated botanical notes.
