  Published Edinburgh 1838 by W.H.Lizars in Sir William Jardine's "Naturalist's Library".

This is plate 20, the Crossbill from "The Birds of Great Britain and Ireland - Vol 2.

Titled beneath the image. A lovely steel engraved bird print enhanced with attractive original hand colouring. 

Fine condition as seen.

  Approx. 6.5" x 4"(160mm x 100mm) overall. Blank verso. Would frame up nicely for display.
