Drawn & lithographed by Walter Hood Fitch and printed 1868 by Vincent Brooks for Joseph Dalton Hooker's
" Curtis's Botanical Magazine"
These fine, vibrant engravings are highly desirable, superbly decorative & quite rare, so they are considered very collectable .
Fine, virtually unmarked condition.Credited within the plate. Accompanying the print are associated botanical notes.
Measuring approx. approx 9"x 6"( 230mm x 150mm) overall.

Walter Hood Fitch (28 February 1817 – 1892) was a botanical illustrator , born in Glasgow, who executed some 10,000 drawings for various publications. He illustrated some 2700 plants for Curtis's Botanical Magazine.
