An original early 19th century copper engraved antique map of Essex, England.

Enhanced with original hand colouring and engraved vignette of Colchester Castle.

Fine condition other than some patchy browning as seen, blank verso, central fold as issued.

The side margins have been extended with matching period paper to facilitate mounting/matting for framing but all borders intact.

A scarce map.
