An original 18th century copper engraved antique street plan of the city of Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England by Johannes Kip.

A panoramic bird's eye style map of the city in great detail showing individual buildings and sailing ships plying the River Severn.

Kip's famous series of sweeping bird's eye views are widely collected for their aesthetic qualities as well as being valuable historic records.

.A crisp dark impression on robust hand laid paper, blank verso.

A prime example in fine, clean condition, free of repairs or restoration, fold lines as issued.

Approx. 16.5" x 13.5" (430mm x 345mm) image area only with good margins beyond.
