An original 19th century woodblock engraved map of Hampshire, England, unusually printed in white on black.

The original price of one penny is printed in the margin.

William Pinnock published his "Guide to Knowledge" as a part work and it contained many county maps and town plans,

mostly engraved by Joshua Archer and Sidney Hall.

The dramatic white on black appearance makes them an interesting addition to any map collection.

Fine condition, free of repairs or restoration, blank verso. Not folded.

Approx. 9" x 6.5" (225mm x 165mm) map area only, with margins beyond.
