An original 18th century copper engraved antique chart of Hampshire towns.

An interesting triangular chart of distances between the main towns enlarged from the earlier Van Lengeren work.

The lower right section is richly decorated with the arms of Andover, Christchurch, Lymington, Newton, Newport, Petersfield,

Portsmouth, Southampton, Stockbridge , Whitchurch and Yarmouth which are enhanced with attractive later hand colouring.

Fine condition other than some patchy browning, mostly marginal and a narrow right margin (as issued).

Free of repairs or restoration, no folds, unrelated text verso (on Herefordshire).

Approx. 8" x 6" (135mm x 125mm) overall.
