"Description de L'Univers."


A detailed and scarce copper engraved map detailing the route and source of the Blue Nile through  what is now north west Ethiopia. The province of "Goyam" (now Gojjam) is marked and including the area around Lake Tana ( shown as Bed Lac and Dambea on the map) as well as  numerous villages and topographical relief.

A crisp, dark impression in fine condition. On hand laid paper, blank verso.

Measuring approx.
Approx. 6" x 4" (150mm x 110mm) map area only with margins beyond.
