An original 18th century copper engraved antique map of Warwickshire, England.

Enhanced with later hand colouring.

The title is presented in one of Kitchen's trademark pictorial title cartouches.

Also features a scale of miles, explanation of symbols and the Arms of Warwick.

Fine, clean condition, free of repairs or restoration, blank verso, no folds.

Approx. 8.5" x 6.5" (215mm x 165mm) map area only, with margins beyond.

Thomas Kitchin (1718- 1784) was a prolific engraver and map publisher in 18th century London.

His maps were used extensively to illustrate travel books and periodicals such as the London Magazine.

Strip road maps were another speciality and he collaborated with Emanuel and Thomas Bowen to produce some fine atlases.

His own General Atlas was published in 1773.
