An interesting , scarce and detailed , early 18th century antique road strip map, showing the route from Ferrybridge via Wetherby, Boroughbridge, Ripon , Catterick, Ravensworth to Barnard Castle and then the branch from Ferrybridge via Pontefract to Wakefield.

The map depicts a route in the form of 7 vertical strips with a compass rose showing orientation; additionally, miles, furlongs, towns, churches, windmills, rivers and hills are depicted.

Based on the earlier survey of the roads by John Ogilby and bearing a dedication to Christopher Lord Castlecomer within the central cartouche.
