A fine original antique steel engraving of Lancaster Sands, Morecambe Bay, Lancashire, England.

Travellers on foot and by coach and horse are shown traversing the treachorous (then and now) shifting sands of Morecambe Bay to avoid the much longer journey on dry land.

The print is accompanied by the original page of interesting descriptive text about 

 An attractive good sized print for framing and display, dated in the plate (1829).

Fine, clean condition other than insignificant age related blemishes, printed on heavy grade paper, blank verso.
