A fine original antique steel engraving of Stonyhurst College, near Clitheroe, Lancashire, England.

Turner's famous set of views are characterised by his inclusion of foreground interest, in this case an altercation between groups of boys either side of a horsemen.

The print is accompanied by the original page of interesting descriptive text about Stonyhurst and its history. 

 An attractive good sized print for framing and display, dated in the plate (1830).

Fine, clean condition other than insignificant age related blemishes, printed on heavy grade paper, blank verso.
