The brothers Samuel and Nathaniel Buck left a fine legacy of detailed engravings of castles, monuments and other antiquities which are highly valued
today as fascinating records of these buildings as they were in the early part of the 18th century.
They began with the "Views of Ruins of Castles and Abbeys in England" usually known today as "Buck's Views", issued as loose prints although later
often bound in book form. Panoramic townscapes or "Buck's Prospects"followed later.
