Thomas Kitchin (1718- 1784) was a highly prolific engraver and map publisher in 18th century London. Many of his maps were produced to illustrate travel books and publications such as the London Magazine. Strip road maps were another speciality. He also collaborated extensively with Emanuel and Thomas Bowen to produce some fine atlases. His own "General Atlas" was published in 1773.
