Robert Sayer (circa 1724-1794) was a prominent map publisher operating in London's Fleet Street.

After inheriting the stock of Philip Overton which included many of the plates for the maps of the celebrated John Senex his business flourished particularly from 1760 to 1780.

He in turn passed on the business to his trusted employees Robert Laurie and James Whittle who became the leading suppliers of sea charts in the country.
