A very fine original 19th century untitled etching of the city of Dordrecht or Dort, Netherlands.

Fine condition other than some staining in the margin as seen, free of repairs or restoration, printed on robust heavy grade paper, blank verso.

Approx. 10.5" x 4.5" (270mm x 115mm) printed area only with good margins beyond.

Auguste Numans was a skilled 19th century Belgian artist working in water colour, etching, engraving and lithography.

He was trained at the Brussels Academy by Luigi Calamatta and published numerous etchings, many of them after leading contemporary painters.
