A fine stipple engraved portrait of Frances Stewart, Duchess of Richmond who famously refused to be a mistress to Charles II. Dated in the plate.

Bell's popular monthly magazine was primarily concerned with ladies fashion but also set out to revere women of distinction throughout history.


Fine condition other than minor age blemishes, free of repairs or restoration.
