by Gerard Mercator

Published Amsterdam circa 1630 by Jodocus Hondius in a Latin edition of "Atlas Minor".

The map covers the counties of Lancaster, Cheshire, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Merionethshire, Montgomeryshire,

Shropshire, Cardiganshire, Radnorshire, Worcestershire and Anglesey.

Enhanced with attractive later hand colouring.

A crisp dark impression on robust hand laid paper with Latin text verso, with some bleed-through of the text visible to the face of the map as usually seen.

Fine condition, free of repairs or restoration and nicely presented in an ivory coloured bevel cut mount (matt).
