SUBURBS OF LONDON Sheet 3
BROMLEY, BLACKWALL &C.
By Edward Weller.
A lithographed map from "The Weekly Dispatch Atlas" published London circa 1860.
An interesting and highly detailed street plan of the London docklands area including Bromley, Poplar, Canning Town, Blackwall, East India Docks, West India Docks, River Lea, Bow Creek, Victoria Docks etc. The considerable detail afforded by the large scale can be seen in the close up images below. Streets are all named, as are individual buildings, including pubs, churches, schools, parks, docks, railways, factories, workhouses etc. A fascinating glimpse of mid 19th century London.
Fine condition.
Approx. 17" x 12" (440mm x 320mm) map area only, with margins beyond, on light grade paper, blank verso.
