Plan For a New Street From the
MANSION HOUSE TO SOUTHWARK BRIDGE,
Opening a communication with
WATLING STREET & St.PAUL'S CHURCHYARD.
Published by James & Luke, G.Hansard, London 1838 as ordered by the House of Commons in Volume 16 of
"Reports from Comittees No.10; Metropolis Improvements; Railroads"

An interesting and good sized lithographed street plan of part of London with original hand colouring, drawn up to support a planning application for new development. A scale of feet is included.
The highly detailed plan includes individual buildings and all streets are named. Covers Cheapside, Poultry, Charlotte Row, Queen Street, College Hill, Mercer's School, Cutler's Hall, Skinners Place, Cloak Lane, Bucklersbury, Upper Thames Street, Trafalgar Street (proposed), Walbrook, etc etc. It would make an absorbing comparison with the present day street layout and is a fascinating record of a rapidly changing London in the early 19th century.

Fold lines as issued. Some patchy soiling to edges.

Approx. 24" x 13" (620mm x 330mm)overall. Printed on good quality wove paper, blank verso.
