An original 18th century copper engraved antique map of Middlesex and much of present day London.

A very scarce Dutch map based on Emanuel Bowen's work, enhanced with later hand colouring.

The title is presented in a title cartouche with acknowledgement to Bowen. Dated in the plate.

Also features scales of Dutch and English miles, explanation of symbols and a lettered key to further locations on the map.

Fine condition, free of repairs or restoration, blank verso. Fold lines as issued with some light associated creasing.

Approx. 8" x 7" (200mm x 170mm) map area only, with margins beyond.
