John Carmichael (1799-1868) was a celebrated marine and landscape artist based in Newcastle.
Working in oils and water colours he painted many scenes of life on Tyneside and the engravings based on them are quite scarce.

Fine condition other than minor age related blemishes, free of repairs or restoration, blank verso.
Approx. 6" x 4" (150mm x 100mm) image area only.
