An original 18th century set of steel engraved antique maps of Palestine at various points in history. 

Covers present day Israel, Palestine, West Bank, Gaza Strip, parts of Lebanon, Jordan etc.

The main map displays Palestine as it was before the Captivity of Babylon and is flanked by inset plans of Jerusalem and Tyre.

Three further maps below display the region in the times of Christ, David and Solomon and the Return from the Captivity.

Enhanced with attractive original hand colouring which remains bright and fresh.

Fine condition other than minor age related blemishes as seen, free of repairs or restoration, blank verso, central fold as issued.

Approx. 14" x 9.5" (360mm x 240mm) map area only with good margins beyond.
