A very fine original 19th century untitled etching of fishermen landing their boats as published in Hamerton's definitive work on the art form.

Colin Hunter (1841-1904) was a renowned Scottish marine artist and his etchings and paintings typically depicted the fisher folk around his home in Helensburgh.

Fine, clean condition, free of repairs or restoration, printed on robust heavy grade laid paper, blank verso.

Approx. 11" x 7" (285mm x 170mm) to the plate mark with good margins beyond.
