An original and rare, 18th century copper engraved antique print of the original St Paul's Cathedral, London, England by Van Der Aa.
A reduced version of Johannes Kip's view of the original St Paul's Cathedral before it was destroyed by the great fire of London in 1666. The view is of the west side of the Cathedral.
.A crisp dark impression save for a very slight original weakness to the impression in the centre of the image as seen , on robust hand laid paper, blank verso. It is unsual to find a view of the original cathedral taken before the fire.
Fine, clean condition, free of repairs or restoration. Central fold as issued.
Approx. 6" x 5" (155mm x 125mm) image area only with margins beyond.
